The 35-879885T aftermarket in-line fuel filter is designed to help protect compatible Mercury and Mariner 4-stroke outboards from dirt and fuel-system contamination. Featuring 5/16" (8 mm) hose connections, it installs under the engine cowl directly into the fuel line. Suitable for selected EFI and Verado engines, it replaces several Mercury filter numbers and cross-references Sierra 18-7718 for convenient routine servicing.

- Before ordering, check - OEM filter number + engine serial number + 5/16" (8 mm) fuel hose connection.
- This is especially important with Mercury Verado engines because several applications have specific serial-number breakpoints.
Signs the Fuel Filter Needs Replacing
- Replace the filter during scheduled servicing or when experiencing hard starting, engine hesitation, surging, reduced fuel flow, loss of power at higher RPM, visible contamination inside the filter, damaged hose connections or known contaminated fuel.
